Hi guys
I have been looking at buying a good fishing kayak and l am looking for help. I am willing to pay up to $900 and l need something light to handle by myself I have been mainly looking at the Malibu stealth 9 has anyone had any experiences with that kayak. I mainly would use them from dams rivers to inshore reefs. I am open to any suggestions as l don't know much about kayaks.
Thanks in advance

For fishing you cant go past
For fishing you cant go past the hobies as they keep you hands free for fishing which is worth every penny if there is a breeze blowing. Having said that they are a little more expensive, for what you would be using it for a hobie sport would be ideal, just may need a few extra $$$. But ive never fished out of any other yak so i can speak for the stealth im sure it would still be an awsome yak. The native watercraft are relitively cheap as well but not as good as the hobie drive system

Fishing kayak
+1 for Rob's comment. Try to stretch to a Hobie with Mirage drive (pedals) There's a 13 ft Hobie Revolution on Gumtree at the moment for $1200.

I started fishing from a kayak, spent quiet a few years around the inshore reefs and sand banks. Mainly protected waters, until the seabreeze came in. Enjoyed the experience- but sold it all and now fish from the jetski. Puts a smile on my face ever time I go out, which is two or three times a week.
I started with a Wilderness Tarpon 100. Good setups and safe, comfortable seat( as you will spend hours sitting in the kayak) and you can pick them up for a reasonable price. There are different size Models- all setup for fishing.
As an example this one on Gumtree, plenty of others as well. Good luck with the fishing- enjoy:

For the money
For the money you want to spend, as suggested above, I would be looking for a second hand yak. A lot of them have hardly been used and sometimes they have a lot of extras already fitted.
I see a lot of nice rigs for sale on the facebook Bream pages and most have been set up very nice, but around the $1200 plus price will get you something nice ..
