Identifying reef Garmin 95sv

i realise this may be a dumb question but i have new Garmin 95sv chirp and have only been out with it a couple of times. Haven't done much research or read the manual yet but just wondering how do you properly identify reef and hard bottom? I have had furunos in the past and generally yellow is sand and red is reef or hard bottom. I have played around a little and from what I can gather hard bottom comes up thicker but does not change colour? Also looking at real view you can see more structure? I generally stick to traditional view. I realise chirp and 200khz frequency may also show different. If anyone has experience with this unit any information on this would be awesome. Thanks

One of the major drawbacks
One of the major drawbacks with CHIRP is it is not as good at distinguishing different bottom as the traditional Furuno.
I use CHIRP to find fish.

What about if it's on the 200khz setting?
