You can say that again

Make sure you follow the channel markers out and don't cut corners unless there is a full tide

 Ripper easy channel

Ripper easy channel nowadays, just follow channel markers north and turn out to sea when the markers tell ya to, then no issues....

when coming back in line up on the leading lines at least a few hundred metres outside the reef - as cutting corners right on the back of the reef will see ya get in the shit

I've come thru this channel in all sorts of crap weather both day and night with no problems, and I'm not overly brave.

low tide can be real low when heading back to the ramp and there are a couple of real shallow bombies as you come thru the moorings and just in front of the ramp.

Left hand side ramp (looking out to sea) gets silted out a lot and you might find you need to back a loooong way into the water.

dont know what fish ya chasing mate but lots on offer. Tuck in just outside the reef as close as you can safely get, to troll for Mackies and dollys. Same again for spangos and norwest snappers (also just as many spots inside reef for these if weather playing up outside - watch out for sanctuary zones thou). Whenever bottom fishing have a floater 50-100ft out the back - have caught lots of mackies and dollies like this whilst bottom bashing for reef fish.
