I didn’t get a bite there 2 weeks ago. Went there Monday arvo for a quick look and work around the molo was still ongoing, so I don’t think there is much fish around. I didn’t wet the line on Monday though..

As hoookt mentioned if it is still murky from the dredging I'd probably stay away, but on a good day the North Mole can pretty much turn up anything.

If you burley up you will find herring, gardies and yellowtail - and there are some massive buffies there too - I know you are the buffy specialist.

It's good to have a rod set up with a mulie or lure as you do from time to time see the odd tailor come through during the day.

You can soak a big bait or a live bait for a chance of something bigger - mulloway, snapper, sharks, rays, etc.

Good luck!

I reckon Brighton Beach at sunset/night mate. Always get at least something there, and a good chance of a big mulla and sharks. Last week when i was squiding they were still deredging and the water murky.

There are whiting everywhere

There are whiting everywhere along our coast, they like to group around in the sand holes close to the shore or not far from the beach, just work one area for a good 10 mins and keep moving along the shore.

Why not try South Beach.

Mate of mine picked up a whole heap of KG, herring, a decent Gummy Shark and 2 rays, one which was about 100kg lol. This was just the other night. so worth a shot, at night that is!
