no probs launching the boat, just have the car in 4WD and you'll be fine, takes alittle while to tow in but thats just being careful, leaving it there for a week i'm sure it's been done before and will be done again, lock it and put cool stuff out of sight i guess.

Hey Rob, type in 'launching at Fortescue' in the search.  Just had a look and there a number of threads with useful information.  Cheers.

certianly a bit of water does help, i don't think i'd launch or retrieve on a low, mid tide and up no probs just have your shoes on when you jump out, the rocks are sharp! Landcruiser and a 6.5m fibreglass boat no probs

High tide for confidence.  We

High tide for confidence.  We tried to retrieve at a lowish tide and had wheel spin on the river pebbles.  Needed a second vehicle to pull us up the very steep ramp.  If you have a winch, there is a concrete anchor point which you can use to assist with retrieval.

If the tides are too big, you will have to drive through 2 feet of water in the Du Boulay creek on the way in.  This could be a bit tricky if you are not familiar with the course to follow.
