lets not get carried away
lets not get carried away now, it all counts for nothing if we don't at least make the big show let alone bring that cup home, will go nicely in between the last 10 or so wertern derby trophies!
Here's hoping there are no other injury concerns, give them a light week on the track and make sure Johnson and Ibbotson are available to cover Dawson and Suban if needed!

andrew d
all dockers fans can be proud of their team , Andrew d needs to have a good look at himself he isn't up to the job of ceo of the afl, Rossy lyon is a football genius, I rate Mathew P up there as equally with Malcom Blight as the best footballers to come out of SA , and I am a Melbourne supporter

I have noticed the bloke that , rang the 6pr footy show and told the boys that the dockers were doomed and had layed down 2000 dollars for gelong to win by 39 points plus at the tab hasn't bothered to ring the 6pr after game footy show

Sensational
What a game. I was on the edge of my seat for the whole game but knew they'd pull through.
Barlow was good, but I was also particularly impressed with Spurr he had a great game. Suban was also playing well until he got injured, he's definitely earned the right not just to be used as a sub anymore. At the end of the day it was an all-round effort though.
Can't wait to see who we're playing in the next round.

your spot on
who will they drop when Johnston is ready to go again and if Clancy Peirce can get up considering the injuries they have had with key players this season they still look good

Unenviable
Ross has got the unenviable task, like all coaches do at some time, of whether Johnson plays, which he probably will, and who gets dropped. No-one in that team today deserves to get dropped for the next game. I know a couple of them had a quiet game but they seem to pop up when it counted i.e De Boer, Mzungu. Ballantyne also sorta went missing for the game and seemed to pop up to have a niggle at people.
Johnson has contributed well over the season and the year. I think he'll drop a player not necessarily in the same position so despite a good game, probably Lachie Neale will get dropped. What do you reckon??
I'll be disappointed if Clancee doesn't recover for the prelim or even the granny if it happens. He's another player that seems to have been rescued by Lyon.
I'm interested to see what'll happen about Mayne. I think Stevie J has gone down like a little girl again which may or may not help the case.

I'm thinking Lachie Neale
I'm thinking Lachie Neale with his 21 disposals and his recent form & his ability to add to the score board from stoppages will will keep him in the team. My money would be on Tom Sheridan to make way, he started last wks game as the sub and came on for Suban for 3 disposals so would be the most likely candidate for replacement.
I should let it go but i can't help myself.
Chris Scott is a whining prick for stating during the post game press conference that Freo were gifted a couple of soft free kicks 30m out.
Fact - 25 frees to Geelong v 19 for Dockers
Fact - Dockers scored 2 goals from frees Geelong scored 3
1) 3rd Q Sandilands from 25m - held without the ball by Lonergan, commentator Tom Harley (ex Geelong captain) said "you couldn't argue with that"
2) 4th Q Mayne from 48m after Mackie fell into his back.
As for Scott saying he didn't think they were hurt in the clearances and the big men had a bit of an arm wrestle.
Was he watching the same game as me?
Fact - Dockers 53 hitouts to 16 which translated into 43 clearances to 22.
If he truly believes that then his credibilty is in question.
As for our next opponent I hope Sydney get up as they will have played Cats Hawks Hawks Blues effectively 16 Qtrs of finals type footy with a depleted personel and by the time the get to Patersons they will be up against a fresh in form Freo.
As for who we play in the prelim & GF if good enough to get there, who cares. Anyone, anywhere - great motto.
I'm not gonna bag anyones team but I will say this it's f'n great to be a docker supporter right now.
19 yrs of copping shit from all angles (except from Richmond supporters - Hey i feel for ya's) it's our turn to finally enjoy watching a team that gives a good solid consistant effort.

Get over it! Freo beat a side
Get over it! Freo beat a side today by a few kicks, a side that was lucky to get over the line against a non finals contender at the same ground last week.......Ok, Freo played well tho, and their next game will be very winnable, players will be fresh, most only played twice in 4 weeks by then. Would love for the Hawks to play Freo for the flag, would be too easy lol, but we may have a bloody monkey to contend with to get there, but, going on their performance today, wont be suprised to see them rubbed out next week (hope)
I am, as I've said, merely competent. But in an age of incompetence, that makes me extraordinary.

For you guys to get to the
For you guys to get to the GF, you will probably have to beat geelong in two weeks time. And haven't you struggled with that recently? And ours won't be any push over either. Most likely sydney, maybe richmond, who pantsed us a month or so ago...
hope to meet you in the gf, so we get a good challenge.

Must say didn't think Freo could win today
but after that show of hard as shit footy they can beat anyone anywhere.
Why should they not be flag favorites.
Haven't reached their peak yet. F**k how good are they now and in the future.
Pav coming good.
Sandy coming good.
Macpharlin coming good.
A lot of players starting to peak.
No team has ever had the capacity to apply this sort of pressure.
Might be jumping the gun but if I were a piss & poo supporter I would be a bit worried.

I'm a very very happy man.
I'm a very very happy man. How good was Sandi!! Loved his tackle on that hack podsiadly haha. Was very 'Happy Gilmore'-ish haha. Spurr is an absolute gun. Pav getting back to top form. What impressed me most, was the solid 4 quarter performance. Haven't had a proper one of them in a long time! Umpiring was shocking, but I've come to accept that, being a freo fan. Crowley keeping Stevie-J to just 20 disposals after 12 in the first quarter. Loved the agression.

Coming from a west coast
Coming from a west coast supporter, I was very impressed with freo's performance. Shut down the cats in the second quarter and held them out well for the rest of the game. Typical of the commentators calling some of the freo players undisciplined and when geelong did anything wrong, putting it down to them going hard at the ball. Loved ross lyon ripping into some of those journalists. Should be a good prelim here, most likely against Sydney. looking forward to it, I think my team can really learn from freo's defensive pressure and hard running.

Freo playing some good footy.... Can see them getting into the GF..... BUT will the old first appearance jitters grab a choke hold??? Going to be hard to beat the determined Hawks after they got done last year...
