Freo into top 4 dispite having a host of top players on the sideline
Just need to knock off the Crows next week to cement their place.
What next a flag maybe ?

gee, i am liking the depth of the list. never ever like blaming a loss on injuries, but havent had too! last five results W W W D W. some really great signs with the likes of hannath and crozier and clarke (finally) stepping up. and the eveness of the teams performance. some challenges to come. crows at aami, geelong at the cattery, and later carlton at etihad. lets go freo, lets go! into the top two!

But they did get Dawes and Clarke! hehe I think they have a few more problems than quality talls. I hate to say it, but they were woeful yesterday against Freo. We should have won by more. to their credit, they did come out after half time and played man on man and stemmed the carnage.

Easy
They have the easiest run in the second half of the season. they play only 3 games out of 11 against current top 8 teams. That means no excuse not to finish top 4. But i'm sure they will come up with a reason. Perhaps if they stick to their current line up they will do better than trying to force feed the "Pav" on demand. lol.

I think there is no excuse not to finish top two! you are right about the draw, it eases up a bit from here (is there such a thing), although i think in fairness to north melbourne they ARE better than their win / loss ratio represents. five losses under a kick is hard to fathom. freo have some tough games for sure and they will be a true test of where we are at.

Freo are already a game and a half behind and both those sides have shown the ability to beat all comers.

Both are beatable, they have both lost games, have they not? and Freo still get to play geelong (albeit at geelong...) drop your game for a week and you lose, as geelong did against collingwood (beat all comers??? hawks lost to geelong, geelong lost to collingwood, so i don't know how you justify that statement?). we just have to keep winning that's how we will do it. simple.

Both teams
are proven match winners for the last 5yrs, both won flags and made GF's over the last 5 yrs, both 8/1.
Hawks had 1 shit last quarter against Geelong to lose in the first round, havn't lost a game since. Granted they were ordinary against GC
Shall I continue?
Admit it Randall, no one can take Freo seriously until they at the very least make a GF.
Every other club except the 2 expansion teams have tasted success in September.

like Geelong and Hawthorn can stay up there for Matt.
Next year Buddy's gone that means Hawthorn gone
A new wave is coming through and it includes Fremantle.
Take them for granted at your own peril.
Ask Geelong and a few others who struggle to find a answer for Freo's hard at it style.
If they get their best team out there the Dockers can beat anyone anywhere.

Couldn't the same be said for at least 12 of the teams in the comp?
No team has it's 'strongest side' on the park for 99% of the games they play let alone all of those players being in form.
In the end it's all back and forth banter till mid september when the real games are played

Freo were so hard at it, yeah hard at it chasin their opponents and the score board last time they played a quality side. Were gifted the win to Richmond, the other wins were against shit sides, let Collingwood back in after a commanding lead, got overrun by the Bombers in the same fashion, too many cracks, not a premiership game plan or side for that matter, they wont beat Adelade this week. They have a flag already this year, the white one they held up to Hawthorn. And as for your hopes of getting our movie star, one team player, he aint goin nowhere

My point is matt, that it hasnt mattered which 22 have run onto the park for Freo. our only recent points dropped, were against the reigning premiers at their home ground and we salvaged two points from being 27 points behind with 11 mins to play. i think our last loss was against your boys after a piss pour first quarter.

if the Dockers can take down Adelaide and pinch the games between them and Carlton, WCE, and possibly Geelong then a top 4 berth is all theres, i still feel a top 2 is a stretch and either Geelong or Hawthorn will have to drop away quite badly to free the spot up. All will go quiet if the Eagles don't make the 8 but which they should. Come on you lot nothing better in September than both W.A teams battling it out, i would love to see a Western Derby semi or Prelim, ultimate prize would be a Grabd Final, Qantas would have to put a A380 to get all the fans across the coutry for that one!!
