Apricot chicken made with drumsticks was my worst nightmare dish that my mother could produce, put me off drumsticks for life. I didn't mind the sauce and rice but the chicken and apricot bits.... Not only has it scarred me for life it also got my elder sister. My younger sibling and Mum n Dad couldn't get enough of this dish.
Tripe!! gag stuff my mum being from a very poor family in Naples in the 40's and 50's would eat peasant food as it were. all the offal dishes. Love Kidney but can shove Liver and Tripe
As a side story she used to sell matches at the local train station to help the family out where she actually met Primo Carnera, she remebers him being a man mountain but very kind. Gave her afew extra Lira for the day.
To be honest I don't recall ever eating it. My old man liked it and mum would cook some up for him occasionaly. The smell of it cooking would clear the house.
I never liked mushrooms as a kid but love them now. Chokos was another, we had them growing wild. Fortunately no-one in the household liked them either.

I wont spoil it this quickly, but I know the answer to the riddle.
And the other "F" work is Firetruck, or could it be Frack. What about Frank? That's all i got.
