Fuel Flow Gauge

Can anyone tell whats the best fuel flow gauge to buy, and/or cheapest around Perth or off internet. I have a Lowrance HDS8, dunno if theres lowrance ones that hook straght into unit, but think it would be good to have to work out best economy

getting the bottom line final answer from a bunch of blokes that use false names and put smiley faces at the end of paragraphs is not the best place in the world to get the information you seek.

I've got an HDS8m in my Trailblazer and I've just bought a Lowrance EP-60R fuel flow unit and a NMEA Network Starter Kit (N2K-EXP-RD-2). The fuel flow meter is installed in the fuel line to the engine and it plugs into the network via the connectors provided. The network requires it's own 12VDC power supply (connector supplied in the starter kit) and the network plugs into the black connector on the back of the HDS8m.

I haven't connected mine up yet (been too busy) but the supplied instructions are pretty straight forward. There's provisions within the Lowrance unit for fuel flow information including fuel tank volume, fuel flow rate, trip consumption, etc. so you don't need to install another gauge into your dash.

I'm sure there's members here who have these fuel flow meters installed in their boats and have them connected into their Lowrance units.

The parts are available locally from your friendly Lowrance distributor and/or fishing/boating outlets.

Hope this helps.
