fuel prices in exmouth

Just had a look at prices for fuel in exxy in regards to how much its dropped up there compared to here and for the looking ahead to the fishwrecked trip, then was amazed tosearch on the price of LPG
ulp 146.8
LPG and amazing 108.5
What the hell seriously, no doubt it costs the same to transport as fuel up there so why not a drop considering the price of LPG has dropped in metro as well,
Atleast some good solid days out trolling up there aint going to cost an arm and a leg atm

Free fuel
Hi all, havent posted for a while been doing nites at B.P. refinery on the shut down. Four nites off in 2months, anyway cleaned up on the safety incentive raffle that they were running. 3 x $50 fuel vouchers in the last 2 weeks, nice to know they're gonna go further now. You beauty

use diesel...........not LPG like your city tractor Matt.
But it makes you wonder, we produce the bloody stuff here yet we pay the most in Australia for it (aside from Tassie, but thats to be expected). Hardly the way to convert more people into LPG users is it?

agree, its always been under half of the price of ulp, not at exxy its more than 3/4, not viable really, though i find i get good fuel economy out of my patrol and it makes it affordable to drive

yeah that is high
its almost double the metro average I saw today of $0.58/L
But LPG is in pretty limited supply up north as not many servos carry it, so it may be a case of like it or lump it and they are cashing in?

My brother really wants LPG for his turbo diesel ute - sure you can't fill it often, but with the LR tank he already has in it, he expects to be able to do about 2000km between top ups!

LPG is still cost effective up here, I just roll around at 80kms an hour and piss all you perthies off. Whats the rush..
Get much better fuel economy and means more coin in my pocket for my mileage rebate.

Bobs a retired roadtrain driver and where ever we go towing the boat 90klms best fuel economy for our diesel (Oh what a feelin') we get excellent mileage, but must agree here in Spearwood the diesel is still $145.00 a litre, we keep our long range tanks fueled up all the time, see fairly cheap diesel and we fill up and keep it full.

was worse when it was up
was worse when it was up over the 1.80...... that hurt when filling up
but even today it still 30 cents or more per litre dearer than petrol

LPG and diesel
Its a mixture lpg is injected into the intake manifold and boosts combustion up to 100% as straight diesel on a new motor you only get 90% combustion if ya lucky, so on average you get between 80-90% on the average diesel motor,put it on gas boosts it back up thats what improves your economy but your burning both.great for improving power for towing.

Exmouth fuel prices
I think you may find it costs more in freight because they pay for the truck to go all the way in and back to the main drag .It was the same on the great central highway.
So tell me have you got your info from years on the water or hours on the internet?

ok no worries exmouth fuel is lets say 35cents more than perth and LPG is lets say close to50cents, from what i know they travel the same distance to travel to exmouth from the main road, so as i said just shows how they rip people off

We where talking earlier about how it was cheaper when i first got my cuiser (diesel) that it was cheaper for us to take my car than her 2 ltr petrol car ,how things have changed .Gas dif to petrol not sure why but it was always going to be on the cards .The servo guy once told my the prices are more set on supply and demand than price of raw materials and labour ect.So as the crunch takes hold diesel should come right down too.That may also go for gas as more people put gas on petrol and diesel cars the demand goes up so does the price.But i have given up on trying to understand the crazy way some sh*t works

well cheapest price atm in perth is 101.9 for ulp, so lookout under a dollar is coming, just intime for the FAD season too so what a bonus
