furuno 582l

Can anyone tell me what my furuno 582l is worth secondhand, looking to upgrade to a 1kw unit.

Unit works good to about 130 m and then starts to run out of puff.At 130 still reads bottom no worries but gain is turned up full .

Only thing is temp gauge doent work ,never has done since i bought the boat.

That sounder shot

was a rare day. Didnt expect to see much at that depth. This area has a vertical wall that come 500 up to 470. I was drifting parrallel to it. At that depth i had a large area covered by the transducer angle hence the double bottom return it starting to show.

I have since up graded to a much bigger unit with a 11 degree angle to get better bottom discrimination. I only put this up to show that Im surprised when you say you run out of puff at 130 meters. I could still get good bottom return at 200 and not impossible to see fish at 300 with that set up..but only on the drift, not when moving.
