furuno tzt2 12"

Hi all , just seeing if anyone out there is using a tzt2 as a standalone fishfinder ? and if so your thoughts good and bad, is it a pain to adjust sounder settings etc any info appreciated before i buy one, cheers.

Trialled the TZ2 on the boat before they launched.
Found the sounder worked really well.
Changing the settings through the menu does take a bit of getting used to but isn't that hard.
Looking at changing out my HDS for one in the future as funds allow

I have dual tz12 and just setup cheap night vision using rca video port. purchased night vision monocular with av out port and ported to 12" display. Mounted on dash.
(Need to do minor mod and hard wire to boat power (operates on batteries) 6v get converter from jaycar)

Good idea. Not a bad option for a budget night vision option.
