Two years is a fair trot.
Two years is a fair trot. Don't be too hard on yourself. Get the patches/hypnotism/gum/whatever worked for you last time and start quitting again.
I haven't smoked in over 10 years and still think it would be a good idea to try one! But I know one would not be the end of it so forever vigiant.

Good effort though-everyday you keep going will make it harder to get off though!
Start NOW, chuck them away

Used to share a house with a guy who said that he smoked 40 a day. Went to a hypnosis session and cut back to ~8 a day and after the second session gave it up completely. Might work for some people. It’s all in the head.

I used one of these things when I quit a few years ago, looks like you're sucking on a tampon but got rid of the craving after a couple of beers which was the main thing I struggled with trying to kick the habit.

Its not will power that's the problem Pete . . . . its won't power. You just gotta say no. When you want a puff, think of Robs comments above, that should be incentive enough.

Not easiest but could be the quickest...
Tell your wife mate! Nothing worse than living a lie, and if you dont tell her when she finds out you have 2 problems!
1; Angry wife!
2; Still smoking
From experience I know
Good luck

Give the ecigs a go, I was a stupidly stubborn smoker for well over 20 years, gave everything a go but it's the only thing that's worked for me. If you want any info pm me.

The other day on Douggie Walters, He was a 50 a day smoker for 40 odd years, anyway long story short he was coxed into laser treatment and from the moment he had it done he lost the urge to smoke.. Never gone back. Give it a go mate

Smoking
bottom line is you've gotta really want to quit, any thing less and no drug, hypnotherapy, acupuncture or laser treatment will fix the problem permanently.
Everyone I know including myself who has seriously really wanted to quit has done so successfully and the half hearted ones have gone back to smoking after a period of time.
