Glad i'm just a dumbum taxpayer

I am really looking forward to the FW South West competition on the 10 th of April and having fished off the Cape with Damo i have faith in his seamanship -BUT - just in case something goes wrong i am at odds - do i break the law or do i follow commonsense? if i go out with him and we have a mishap, i will plummet to the bottom due to the weight of Government plastic in my wallet. Just to be out there i will have to have my 1. Skippers Ticket, 2. My boat fishing ticket, 3, My Drivers License, 4. Just in case - my all other fishing classes ticket. What a load of of inept stupidity - for all our taxes our government departments can't amalgamate all our rip off licenses onto one placcy ticket - why not? I am glad i have handed in my guns - yet another card and if i carried my Blue Card, Perkins Builders Induction card, Medicare Card and bank plastic - the list goes on. The State and Federal governments stiff us for so much money and they can't get their computers to talk to each other? - wasteful wallopers.

stop being paranoid

stop being paranoid mate,

you have to have drivers license to do practically everything, plus medicare already.

A msartcard ID card would allow you to load up everything except your bank cards onto one card. Too easy. I'd love it.

talking about BlueCards, try working in some of the mines where you end up with BHP cards, Rio cards, Fortescue cards, etc....each trying to out do the other with compulsory plastic and retaining on training on...on..on..
Standardization of safety, OSH, driver etc and medicals could save the country a millions wasted between companies and states. Never mind the pure down time and lost productivity.
How about one country, one system, one law....
in Australia...Never in our life time...lol too many getting rich out of the divide and concer...
oh and where am I right now while typing this??? waiting to do a OHS supervisors course for the fourth time in Australia in 6 years... WTF...
and a 4x4 driving course on Thursday, then retraining all my using a fire extinguisher stuff, lock holder, lock supervisor, first aid etc...etc..etc...

I feel for the interstate truckies they too have heaps of interstate cr@p to deal with..

as they say, the Germans may have invented Bureaucracy, but Canberra and the States will perfect it...

ps we have more state officials, counting Federal etc per population head that practically any other western or developed world!!!!

So lets earn more tax dollars to get more jobs for bureaucrats....

money???

Sun, 2010-03-28 20:57

the last time I saw money was 3 months ago when I found a 5 cent peice. Everything gets paid for by you guessed it...... a plastic card. In this environment friendly day and age I wonder what the governments stance is on recycling out of date cards or even if you can? They should at least make them recyclable or made from recyclable materials>>
