Wow! A classic pitch pole! Good thing with the big cats is that it happens in slow motion and here is no one on a trapese.
The wing looks repairable too.

so im guessing what happened
so im guessing what happened was the sail was to big?, multi million dollar gladwrap and milk bottles on a giant size i think haha

I was over there
This was a week or so ago in San Franciso. They were testing it out and it made news big time. Wouldnt want to be in the water over there. It was 14 degree air temp during the day, windy as and the water temp was friggin freezing! Every day we were there it was blowing like this too! Really cold just watching them.
