Good Cobia From Lady Joyce Friday the 17th

Went for a run out to the Lady Joyce today with a mate from Busso in his boat.Due to a mix up of points we had to ring home for the correct GPS points.Finally anchored up and all we were catching were undersize yellow fin bream.pinkies,spanglies,blackies and tailor with a couple of pike thrown in.
Nothing changed for a couple of hours with a steady stream of fish being released untill Pete's line took off at 200kph for about 100+metres in one run.After 15 minutes and 3-4 runs later we finally got a good look at it and instead of being a shark like we first thought was a nice cobia.Guessing at the weight we came up with something between 20-22 kg,possibly heavier,a good fish in anyone's book

That's a great fish, they go pretty hard thats for sure, and pretty on the chew as well.................

Not Me!
Not me this time,I was only a passenger on mates boat and the cobia was the only fish to come home.
Still it was a nice day out there and we were catching a fish[even though all but one was undersize].We got heaps of unhooking practice,but thats fishing.
