good mixed bag from mindarie

Total count for the morning was 3 snapper 1 legal and 2 under. 1 dhuie that was just over but went back anyway. 2 black ass both legal with the smaller one returned 1 king george and 3 small sharks.
90 percent of fish were taken on downrigged baits with plastics picking up a couple too.

Pinch of salt Quater
Pinch of salt
Quater teaspoon of baking powder
1 cup of selfraising flour
Half cup of milk
Half cup of water
Replace water with beer if you want beer batter
Deep fry at 150 degrees :)

Actually needs about a cup
Actually needs about a cup and a quater of liguid total otherwise its too thick and fish needs to be floured before battering to help it stick

"Down rigged baits"
Did you use a down rigger to get your catch.
You say you used placies, where they used with a down rigger.
Just very curious about using a down rigger, I have trawled half of the Indian Ocean and tried all kinds of bait lures etc. and not had a single touch on the down rigger.

No downrigger used mate. The weights are to big and scare fish, as does the wire or mono attached to it. It hums through the water. I use a 6 ounce snapper lead attached to my braid to leader knot with am elastic band. Plus moving slow is the key. Nothing over 1.5 knots ide say
