A good value light jigging rod??

Gday,

Been looking for a light PE 1-3 jig rod 5'6" to 6' to put my TD Luna 300 on as a general purpose light offshore setup for jig/casting/bottom bouncing with maybe 30lb braid. Dont have too much experience with jigging rods. Budget probably less than $200. Happy for 2nd hand. Any thoughts? MAny of the jig rods look pretty heavy next to this little reel.

Any other alternative suggestions welcomed.

Cheers,

Mick

the Eupro Salty Fighter pe0.8-2.0 and Eupro TwinCraft pe1-3 and would say the Salty is a little light for 30lb (more 10-15lb)

Try and have a look at a Twincraft or the newer Salty Chief, great rods at low prices

Out of that lot, I would go the 2nd hand hearty rise. A bit more ballsy. I have a salty fighter, great rod but pe1 really.

I started out on a Jigging Master Saber Game which is around that coin - have since upgraded but caught some great fish on that rod.

When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:

n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or

n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.
