Nice catch man , once again who would have thought corn would float there boat ? lol. Btw do mullet only hang around certain areas or are they found pretty much along most jettys and rockwalls ? I have seen them in the river schooling about .

Nice oneI'm sceptical about

Nice one

I'm sceptical about this whole corn thing - but I know that corn definitely does work really well for farmed trout! I suspect though that this is because they mistake it for the pellets they are ordinarily fed.

When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:

n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or

n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.

Very impressive

Thu, 2012-05-03 20:55

I'm very impressed. When I was  young bloke I spent a bit of time targetting mullet and was always amazed how hard they fight. Great fun on light gear.

Ps don't catch them all

Pps A slab of fresh mullet on a double hook snood makes a great dhuie bait

Are you using a sinker rig for these or do you hang it under a float?

I don't know how but I caught mullet from 30cm and biggest was 44cm in the river, close to garrat using sinker, swivel, 8lb leader, size 1/0 octopus circle hook and a peice of prawn, I was pretty stoked reeling them in 1 after another... maybe they were really hungry lol
