Got some Urban 4wding Water Crossings and Recovery in tonight!

Went to go watch some lightening in Tuart Hill. Pretty spectacular. Was awesome watching the whole city skyline get blacked out. One minute there are the big buildings.... next all dark except for the silhouettes when the lighting flashed! Then went for a drive in Osborne Park. Hmmmmm then all the rain bucketed down. REALLY bucketed down. Got to do some awesome Urban 4wding water crossing's! all theway back to Morley

Even got to do an Urban Recovery. Some poor fella had hit a massive puddle in his very low WRX and the car had shut down..... in the middle of the puddle. By the time i pulled up and went to ask if he needed a hand he had his feet up on the dash and there was about 15cm deep water in his footwells. So out came the tow strap, hooked him up and pulled him out and onto a piece of not flooded roadside. Very thankfull, even offered me money for my help. Just told him to pay it forward.

Just a bit further down the road also saw a Hyundai Excel also conked out on the side, but they had managed to at least get through the puddle before the car shut down.

God i love my Hilux. Havent had this much fun Urban 4wding since the massive hail storm of 2010. Anyone else get amongst it?

Also got 45mm in our Rain Gauge in Morley.

it would have been fun, our place was lit up quite a few times, but the T/L seemed to go around us but the rain was so heavy thought it was hail, went running out but just massive rain drops, it was so loud on the tin roof had to turn TV up to about 42 for volume hahahahah

The good old Hilux certainly has pulled some expensive 4x4's out on the beach when we've been fishing and heading home, "Oh what a feelin'" hahahah  Still got the old girl, wonder if the prado will live up to the name of Toyota 4x4?

Apparently its the wettest December for 60yrs, seems we are in another weather cycle.
