GPS/Sounder, Pics Added

Just mounted the new toy a Lowrance 10HDS combo. After I mounted it I was in two minds whether to mount it againWink. This thing is huge, but it fits nicely next to the 585. It is a bit hard to see out of the window now but who cares.

I have got the Platinum + card and it is just awesome. I could not be happier with the unit, easy to use, big sceen so I can have the same scale but see further on the screen, no waiting for pages to pop up as the unit can zoom in or out without having to change screens and accurate as. I have fitted the optional antenna which updates quicker than the internal antenna and it is spot on, as soon as I start turning the cursor on the screen starts the track immedeatley.

One other thing, was quoted $600 to fit it but I would say give it a go yourself and get a handy mate or sparky to hook it up as mounting and running the cable was easy as. With the coin I saved I got a remote search light for night fishing.

All I can say is AWESOME.......................

You don't need to see out the window when you have a unit that size!!!!

Seeing is believing

That pic does not do the unit justice, just wait till you see it fired up Hug it's amazing. The 585 still kills it in the sounding department though.

I have hooked the trannie up but the 585 is definatley the better sounder. Saying that I am a bit biased because i have always read Furunos. But you can't knock the Lowrance for The GPS.
