Just a reminder to kayakers you have 2 k's of heaven on a stick to troll along without having to worry about jetty fishos casting lines out,,Salmon, Bonito and other stuff out the end,,big squid half way to 3/4 the way out out and plenty of whiting half way at the bend.
Hopefully it will close permantly,,,lol

Maybe we should
Maybe we should start lobbying to have it closed permantly.
It looks very unsafe and someone could get injured walking along it .
Who is with me ? ,lol

Maybe we shouldn't
Not being a kyaker and predominently landbased I think anything that provides fishos young and old with good accessibility to fishing grounds should be preserved and available for use. I agree the current structure is unsafe and needs work. Surely your Kyak will take you to may places not accessible on foot that provide equally lucrative opportunities to land that perfect fish.
Let's not get selfish guys.........

Why? Have you all lost your GPS's LOL
It's time for a celebration then after so long. The place is a monument to the land based fishos! Imagine the famous people (and not so famous) that have walked those rickety planks. Let's preserve it for the sake of history. Make it a shrine and up the surcharge for walking on it by 300% like the boat licenses .. LOL Then you will have plenty of chances to kyak without getting hit on the head with a number 4 sinker and, have a much safer structure to work under LOL.
Cheers, Vince

The best diving is right at
The best diving is right at the very end Alfred - closed to fisho's anyway.
As Vince said, great structure for the young and old with a good chance of tangling with non beach based species.
It is a great shame that it will take so long to repair.
Cheers Pete

Alfred, Tracey & I all dived
Alfred, Tracey & I all dived it for our AOW course at night. We were ferried out from the marina on a boat. It was a nice dive but with so many people in the water things got a bit stirred up.

I reckon it was unsafe when
I reckon it was unsafe when i went off the end 30 years ago and ended up in the drink with all my fishing gear,, i will admit though that hving no brakes on my bike may have been a contributing factor,LOL
Hopefully it will be up and running in a couple years but growing up in Busso it will be more like 3-4 years,, knowing how slow the goverment wheels turn.

HAHA
Hey Colin, I would love to have seen it, can just picture it in my mind HAHA LOL. I saw a guy ride his pushbike off the old wooden wharf in Bunbury many many years ago, only this guy did it on purpose thought he was a Stunt Rider, he had a rope from one of his Crabnets tied to his bike so he could pull it back up HAHA

Before the the cyclone there
Before the the cyclone there was the main jetty, a lot of folks here might remember ,it had diving boards, tall towers and the giant slide,, one of my friends asked his mum can he go for a swim one day,,she said no so he rode his bike right off the diving board,,lol
Another time a couple guys in suits and gold watches etc pretended to stage a fight on the diving board, it did not go as planned and they lost their balance and went in,,their wives were not real impressed,,,,,,,,,,
