gulp sp help

Now this may be a stupid question, so dont laugh too hard.

I've bought sump 7" Gulps & was wondering which way up I should  hook them?

There is a big groove, should the hook come out in the groove, or should it come out opposite the groove??

Thanks.

The groove should be at the top mate. That is where the hook comes out........ Make sure that they lay nice and straight once you have rigged them up

I've always rigged them

I've always rigged them knowing that the "groove" is the belly and the hook is coming out the top which is the opposite side to this. Always worked fine for me, but yep make sure the hook comes out dead centre otherwise the plastic wont swim correctly.

Yep, that's what i've always thought the groove was for.

Helps to line up the plastic and to see where the hook point will come out so the plastic sits straight.

Push the hook through the front off the plastic and make it come out at the very start off the groove .. The feed it along the the shank and onto the keeper then bend the plastic a bit and poke it back through the groove and out the top making sure it comes out dead centre .. The groove will help the plastic sit better on the jig head this way..... Well this is the way i rig em n it works for me :)
