Would be great on the Jumbo
Would be great on the Jumbo Tailor I go for up North.
If anything a tad small for my liking(the lures I mainly use are from 20-25cm long), so would pick up smaller Tailor. But will definitely buy a few and test them out :)

Well...
his comments refer to fishing for JUMBO Tailor, not just your run of the mill choppers.
A 80cm+ Jumbo will easily chomp down on a 20cm+ stickbait or popper.
Those who chase Jumbos on bait will use whole Gardies, Mullet or large fillet baits. Much larger than the humble mulie

Hi Uncleben. Um I don't know
Hi Uncleben. Um I don't know if you were referring to my post About them maybe being a bit small for my personal style of tailor fishing?
As Matt also mentioned about going for the Jumbo tailor up north, I just prefer using big lures and baits as I find I get less of the small Tailor attacking my Lures and can concentrate on only the big ones. Which is a priority for me, for when I find a school they are always mixed in sizes and if I catch and release a few small ones first they all go off the bite, so I prefer to try and catch and release the big ones first, well try :-)
Often the lures I use are up around 20-25cm long and i even have a couple of lures 30cm long that I regularly use. If I throw baits for them I usually use the biggest Gardies or Mullet I can find(+30cm). I very commonly see Tailor hunting big schools of mullet up north and they just chomp the sides out of them then come back and tear the rest of the mullet to pieces.
Which isn't to say small baits and lures don't work on Jumbo tailor at all, just they will also catch a lot of smaller Tailor I find.
Same reason I often use XL hooks(bigger than I probably need to), most the small Tailor wont hook up when they strike so it doesn't spook the whole school and if anything excites the school more, but the Jumbo Tailor can get their gobs around the XL hooks.

Had a look at the boat show on the weekend, its massive, even for salmon. Dont think I'll be getting one. Surprised it only comes in the one size

Interesting,
how would it compare in size to say an Xrap sxr14?
I know they're longer but what about profile?

Size
Got a couple Matt and they are comparable to the laser pro 190 deep divers that you would normally troll for macks.
Body might be slightly slimmer but cant be bothered going out to the boat to get one to check

Yep spot on, similar to the laser pro but slimmer and not as curvy. Would be alright casting around up north for macks and trevally but maybe just for salmon down this way. The single hook setup is great hopefully more brands start jumping on board with that!
