Hamelin Bay offshore

Hi.
Might be a long shot but hoping someone might be able to help with looking for dhufish around the area.
Was hoping to fish some drop offs around 40-60m but I've also heard there is good coral further out around 90m 40-50 fathom.
Am I wasting time fishing in close or is it worth taking the time to find lumps?
thanks for any help.
I do take my boat down there reasonably often and have used the ramp so I'm used to the excitement that ramp brings. Haha Just haven't done very well fishing offshore.

To be honest mate I've
To be honest mate I've fished the whole coast and rate Hamelin bay as the worst place of them all unless ur after salmon or herring or squid in the bay or crays. Dhufish etc are there it's just hard going, little ground, tide always races etc etc. good ground west of geograph reef a mile or so. North west there's a bank 8 mile which has some good bottom but as I said tough going. Especially now it's pretty much winter.

Thanks Jaggo
Thanks Jaggo.
I've heard great things about Augusta so I'm hoping it is similar around the area.
Thanks again.
