Hard Tops
Submitted by black gen on Fri, 2011-07-22 08:29
i have a 5.5m boat at the moment, its not a hard top and has a split screen at the front and clears.
it lets water through when the sea is heaving and spray is going anywhere...i am wanting to get the screen and canvas removed and a hardtop built on top.
has anyone done this before and is there any tips or things i should know???
does anyone know who does this aswel? i have spoken to hayway marine about it but its soo expensive to get it done through them.
any help would be great.
cheers

Maybe you need to put some
Maybe you need to put some pics up of your boat, and what you're using already.
Hardtops are great, but they're a bitch to tow and you don't always want them up.
Certainly there are clears, then there are clears ... Pete D has a good set, that extra bit of foam they put around the bottom @ Just Covers in Belmont keep out the water and the draughts.
Maybe something hinged like this, to go between the current screen and some new clears? You might get a win in with just a little modification.
