Has anybody owns a hastings rod?, if so could they give us some advice on them.

They rock mate
I built up a Pioneer URS70M recently into a big rubber stick....very fast action...trimmed 4" off the butt (and have since had 3" trimmed off the tip by a Ray who anchor wrapped me!)
Great blanks IMHO...they do mark/scratch fairly easily though.

yep tip was a accident :(
The Pioneers have a very stiff butt section...and i dont dig 7ft boat rods....prefer 6'-6'6"
