I have hds8 backup unit an I been playing a bit with it as I allways use my furuno . I reset it an now the screen is moving up an down hard to explain trying to get it set at the bottom of screen I no sounds weird but any help would be good thanks

sounds like you have bottom lock on
if you change your range to manual and choose your own depths or choose auto depth but top to bottom it should fix it

i would say it could be in auto which means the ground level will change up and down as you move along. As Barneyboy said change your depth to custom and set it at your preference and it wont change
