Help with EPIRB 406Mhz

Does anyone know where I can get a 406 EPIRB from? I've tried all the usual places like BCF & Ranger, they tell me they are in very high demand are unavailable until the middle of Feb.

Got mine from whitworths
Got mine from whitworths about a month ago and they had plenty in stock then but not sure now.

Was making some inquiries
Was making some inquiries for my mate yesterday. Whitworths is out until maybe mid Jan but more likely early Feb. Was the same with all the other major marine stores in the metro area including BCF's. The only place i found that had some was Challenge Marine in Balcatta. They had the McMurdo ones $649.00 they had about 6 left when i called them. A bit more pricy than the basic GME MT400 which goes for rrp$429.00, but hey if you can't wait.
Might even be worth investigating interstate, just be aware that if you do get one from interstate, that if the battery used in it is a hazardous type for transport(as is the GME MT400) you will have to pay a bit more for postage.

got mine from ebay about 3 months ago cheaper than bcf etc, even including postage from a queensland based store.

Got 3 over east,they had heaps in stock.Look up phone number for BCF in Tuggerah NSW and ask for Steve,he can do a deal and only happy to mail it over
