just got back to dunsborough from geograph bay an hour ago. 26 squid, 10 big king george, and 16 jumbo bluey crabs, all in a bit over 2 hours. barren indeed......
they dont really leave the bay, but timing with the wind is pretty important.
wind hasnt been overly kind whilst we have been down here ( but thats ok, cos its a piss drinking trip more than anything... ), but we got out off the cape on tuesday, and bagged out on dhuies, blue gropers, blackarse, and a harly. fed 14 people for 2 nights.
tommorrow looking awesome, but i'll be heading back to perth with every other person.
lost in traslation mate. By barren i mean devoid of obvious structure. Sure you can drift the weed beds and catch heaps of squid, KG's and crabs and it's good fun. I was leaning towards Dhuies, Pinkys and other demersals. Unless you get given spots, ping or fish with other blokes there can be alot of driving and sounding looking for fish.

Anyway you got a good feed there mate, and battling this fooking wind at the moment, you deserve it.
I'm gonna try Siesta Park way, for some crabs later on in the week
