Publicity
Publicity is what it needs to get the message across. The West Australian newspaper needs to spread it over the front page not as they usually do and put a little bit at the bottom of page 55 or there abouts

about time we had a judge
about time we had a judge with balls to hand down the sentence the pr!ck deserved!
hope he does not get early parole or some rubbish like that. He should also be made to apy the full $54k before he can be allowed to own a car or any thing else

Forget about jailling him
They should make him work for rescue detailing tha hulls of boats at minimum wage until tha 54k is paid off! They could set up a cot out back and have a chain long enough to get to wherever tha next boat that needs to be scrubbed!

In Court
I was in court for the sentencing. Magistrate was originally going to give him 9 months (max is 12) but reduce sentence due to pleading guilty. Magistrate spent 10 minutes in his summary getting stuck into him as to why it was so stupid what he did. Had the feeling he owned a boat.

I am 100% for 24 hrs a week
I am 100% for 24 hrs a week community service @$20 / hr till he has paid off his $54k. Many USA courts now make you work for the state on weekends for two 12 hr shifts to pay off debt to the community when you can't pay. This turd could clean streets or dustbins till he has paid off his debt after his full jail sentence. Also no parole should be given when they can't pay their fines!
