how to tell if m/bike is a 2 or 4 stroke

howdy all
my son has just bought a 125cc atomic bigshot 2nd hand and he doesent know i if it is a 2 0r 4 stroke , he googled the bike and its says that they r 4 strokes, but they are brand new ones, his bike is a 2011 is there an easy way to tell which one it is thanks.

Two strokes go
Two strokes go nang-nang-nang, four strokes go doof-doof-doof-doof.
Look at the bottom of the engine, under the bike and see if there is a sump plug to drain the oil, or if there is a oil filler cap somewhere. If there is then it's a four stroke, it there isn't then it is probably a two stroke.

4 Stroke
Definitely looks like four stroke to me. Exhaust is a give away (two strokes generally have a big expansion chamber) and head looks like it has valve gear at the top (two stroke has ports in the bore).
Also looks like an oil filler cap on the RHS just near the kickstart for crankcase oil. Two strokes get lubrication from oil/fuel mixture.

Hey mate,
That bike is a four stroke you can see the extra space above the cylinder head for the valves and there is cover for valve adjustment. The other give away is the exhaust which has no expansion chamber (bulge in the pipe just after it leaves the engine).
