different fish prefer
different fish prefer different speeds. lazy type fish and ambush preditors can prefer slow trolling where as pelagics ie macs and tuna sometimes prefer a little faster in my experience. give it a go mate, good luck.
I live with fear every day... sometimes she lets me go fishing.

trolling
depending on what your chasing and lure being used
,,for salmon etc i seem to have more success at lower speeds 4 to 6 knots, tuna 6 knots plus, with skirts i usually run at 10 to 12 knots
Im really no expert tho so this is just what works for me.
cheers

with 6hp
just run it flat chat, I managed to find skippy and salmon doing that around the cockburn sound in a 6hp tinny myself. Halcos are generally what I dragged around.
