humminbird matrix 97 sounder/gps?

Anyone familiar with this sounder, comes with 83/200 transducer which isn't ideal but will have to do. Basically this unit is fitted to the new tub so I'm stuck with it for this season at least untill I can get some more $$$$ past the minister of finances to upgrade it later on.
Hoping it's good enough to do the job for the time being and not a heap of crap :P

Not too bad
but that depends how deep you wanna go ? Keep it as a GPS and get a better sounder later on

Depth, probably out to the barges etc, I'll wait to go deeper chasing hapuka etc after the new sounder is installed :-)
