A BIG THANKS TO SHERBERT
Hi all, I thought I should share a good story with you all. Everyone knows of Sherbert (the Mackie king) well this story goes like this.
I got a call from PGFC secretary to say that he had a whisper that a FAD had been spotted somewhere on the beach near Moore river and had I heard any news about it. I hadn't but being an avid reader of the FW forums I deduced that "Sherbert" spent a considerable amount of time beach fishing this area.
A quick PM to Sherbs resulted in him ringing me and getting details of hopefully PGFC's missing Hillarys Yacht Club FAD. In no time he rustled up his son Andrew and some friends and assaulted the beach to check for me. Many miles later and in fact it turned out to be slightly north of 2 rocks Sherbs located the FAD and managed on the beach to get probably 150kg FAD on the back of Andrew's ute.
Not to be contented with just locating it they then drove hard on the beach to get out and delivered it to me at Taylor Marine in Henderson. Probably driving around 200 km's to do so.
So...Although there are occasions when some horrible posts come to light I would just like to say that through the FW forum family a great ending to a story and my total appreciation and thanks go out to Sherbert and his son Andrew for making this happen without a care in the world. This FAd will now go back out for the greater use of the fishing community.

if the clouds part, as a 4x4 approachs , Ive found the men.
