Yep, in the process now. Allow $6k for a trailer made to aus specs, $15k to cover transport etc etc plus 10 percent GST.

Lot of dotting the eyes and crossing the tees with USA trailers, but a good discount from Aus pricing.

Not all ali trailers are ali all the way round, some are ali main beams with steel crossmembers.

Some have a double bend in the ali main beams, some just have the one and the steel tounge lapped in.

Some are disc, some are drum.

Keep a good eye on it, but there are good savings to be had. Make sure you get the paperwork done before you import, or you will really cop it in fines.

Oh that is right, what would I know ;)

Yep John F on the money, and like Till said make sure your paperwork is perfect or you will find your self in all sorts. I did it about 8 months ago with a trophy and has been great. Trailers in the US are 1/2 the price of trailers here and if its RORO transport you need a trailer anyway.

Heres a post a did.

What the guys said is correct, however we asist in the paperwork chain so that should not really be a worry for you.

Give us a call or check out our website at www.portseamarine.com.au  , we can give you an accurate estimate and some of the pit falls to avoid.
