Gedday Fellow Fishers
Gotta say it has been a bit boring of late, all work, no play. Even when I hve been off work no decent weather to get out. Reading the forums it seems everone is in the same boat. There has been footy to talk about, but thats about it.
Well finally its on. Friday is looking good for a fish out off Mandurah/Rocko.
So is anyone getting decent fish. Has anyone been catching squid around the traps??

I went to parmelia bank for the first time last friday... I launched the boat around 11am as had just come off night shift, I fished the 3m mark on the eastern side of the channel with a small silver twisty managing to land a few decent herring... I then drifted over the western bank landing 2 squid one hood 25cm and the other 30cm... I lost 2 and because of a tangle missed the opportunity to catch a further 3 (I drift my whiting scaling bag behind the boat with mullies inside attached to a float) sometimes the squid slowly come to the surface to check it out, or try and drag to the bottom.. all this was around mid day.... as for rocko area ive done pretty good in the way of squid... mainly in warnbro sound around the 4m mark, I find a yozuri 3.5gm blue works best atm becase its all I have haha
