its a first!

well ive been trying to target bream recently, just trying a bit of prawn.

with a little luck earlier this week on prawn i decided to attempt lures.

 

to tell you the truth i dont really know what im doing, but i managed to catch my first fish on a lure (hb)!
a BLOWIE! huzzah!

 

oh and i also did a pb of 15 blowies too!

 

i feel acomplished.

sweet mate, heres a hint , if you move your lure a little slower the blowies won't bother you so much... and the bream like a slower lure!

Gumby, you need to try the plastics, pick your times on the tides as this is when they feed.

Flick around the banks and structure with the tipp jirking action, and see how you go

plastics??? if there are blowies y would you use them unless you have bulk cash (every tackle store will love you) stick with the hards if you are in the lower reaches sx40's strikepro pigmy rmg scorp etc or if you like the idea of working stuff like a plastic round pylons use vibs or blades. also do a bit of research on the area id be trying belmont ski area.
