Jigs on domestic flights

Has anyone tried / had issues taking unrigged jigs as part of their carry-on luggage?

Hard to tell from this link ... http://travelsecure.infrastructure.gov.au/onboard/what-i-cannot-take-onboard.aspx

They are not sharp and not long enough to be a weapon, but don't want to lose them, has anyone had any experiences?

Checked bags are already chockers ;)

Best to have them as booked

Best to have them as booked in, not carry on, have had to hand in too much fishing gear flying to and from Darwin.
If you take it as carry on you will run the risk of loosing them...

I work at airport, anything slightly pointy gets seized.

They take the tiniest things !

Put in hold luggage.
