My first post is today, by way of introducing myself to you, I now live in Busselton and recently bought a Stacer 4.20 Seahorse with a 30hp Johnson outboard, love the outfit for what I need it for.
I will use it locally out on the bay and the West coast and also for towing up North to the Kimberley and Kakadu looking for the elusive barra.
Only had a Shakespeare Uglystick boat rod with a Penn220 reel previously, so have bought a Raymarine FishFinder/GPS system and a Fin-nore offshore level wind reel on a Penn powerstick pro boat rod.
I've been fishing off jetty's and river banks till now, so have had to buy suitable new boat rods and reels with braid etc, for the larger bottom dwelling fish I see you guys getting on here, a very different way of fishing from what I've been doing off the beach down here
Lets go fishing

hey mainey
looking forward to hearing how you get on boat fishing.
If I spent half as long fishing , as I do reading this bloody forum , I'd be twice the fisherman I am.

I was told yesterday by a local fisherman friend of mine, the King Gorge Whiting abound out from a particular boat ramp at the moment, in just a few meters of water
Was flat as a mirror the bay yesterday, but with plenty of 'terrorists' down here from Perth because of the holiday, I will go out Friday and look for them

Yes, it's a good one
Yes, I've been called Mainey since I was at skool many, many years ago, back in Albury NSW.
Used to go out and catch a few fish on the Hume weir in those days
