After weighing up our options with the Missus being homesick and me being a country boy we have decided to relocate down south. Just got the official go ahead from work to head down come the end of October, can't wait to get fishin'

That could be handy, you
That could be handy, you could give us the heads up on the salmon and once you have sussed out the offshore scene you can take us out fishing!!
Where exactly are you moving to?

Very handy Steve, going to
Very handy Steve, going to be spending as much time as possible on the water. Will be in Dunsborough mate, picked up a quarter acre some time ago and the missus wants some monstrosity in mind to be built (plenty of rooms to bunk down for ya!) Don't fancy dragging your boys that way to build the bastard do you!

Rather nice part of the
Rather nice part of the world to be moving to (IMO). I'd expect the monstrosity of any house down there will be dwarfed by the monstrosity of the cost to build it though :p.
Good luck on the move (and fish when you get there).

It would depend on how much
It would depend on how much of a monstrosity it is!! I tend to pick and choose nowadays, I'm over taking on "challenges" Somebody else can have them!!
Where are you going to live whilst this "thing" is getting built?

Probably only a monstrosity
Probably only a monstrosity to me, it's all the extra shit with it like another entertainment room for kids, wtf is with that! hardly a subtle hint at procreation. All this will be eating into my 'man cave' budget complete with pool table, bar... ahh dreaming.
Yeah Matt we love it down there and spend most of our free time, gives me the shits driving back up but at least we bypass Mandurah these days! Steve, I will be going down first with work etc. the Missus later on, she is from there and her parents still live there so will be with them in the interim.

My man cave dreams started ever since that certain beer company put out the ad with the adjoining neighbors and their sheds

Welcome to the SW Lamby. I
Welcome to the SW Lamby. I moved down to Dunsborough a couple of years ago from Perth and love it down here. The fishing is great and so are the people. It gets a bit crazy from December to easter but its not too bad. If it wasn't for the tourist we wouldn't have all the wineries, breweries etc which makes the area even more special. There is quite a few of us down here. Feral, Buxcey, Harro, Man overboard, Megadon are a few that I can think off.
Cheers

welcome
golden place mate
never tooo hard to get away from the crowd but sounds like you're well aware already anyways.
sounds like there's definitely enough of us to get some kinda FW event together..? guess all the crew kinda hiding in the cracks or too busy chasing that 20kg duhy.
count me in anyways, my 3.85 thinks its a 16footer!
on that subject if anyone is keen for a bash sun-wed coming give us a yell, pinkies and squid are on the target list.
tight lines

Welcome to
the best part of OZ. Good fishing, great scenery, surf, wine, beer, what more could you want?
As you'd now it gets busy and can be very frustrating at times, (xmas, easter, PH's) but I guess that's the way it goes. Never know your luck, the jetty MIGHT be open before your house is done
You wont have any trouble findy any deckies down here either
