Jurien & Mackies

Hey Guys,

I'm heading up to Jurien for the long weekend and was wondering whether it is worth packing the trolling gear? Thinking the mackies may have moved north but i still hear whispers of them caught around rotto. I guess if the mackies aren't around there may still be some tuna?

They are still around and in good numbers. Don't need to be heading far, follow those 15-20m contour lines around the reefs.

Thanks for the heads up - spent first 30 minutes trolling on sat morn for a couple of macks just behind the islands, and got 2 pretty quickly!
