Jurien/Green Head/Leeman

Thinking of towing my boat from Bunbury to either Jurien/Green Head or Leeman.
Can anyone tell me the best time of year to go? What I might catch? I'm into bottom bouncing, anchoring and berleying and trolling lures.
What is the pick of these locations?
What are launching facilities like at these locations?
Ask a lot of questions don't I?

there's no one there, no sorry seriously we have a on-site van up in Leeman, its really  suck it and see, but mostly around end of March through to June.  You'd be better off going to Jurien or Green Head excellent ramps, if you don't have 4x4, the ramps (I've posted both on the site Town & Sea Rescue Ramps), if tide low in Leeman pretty tricky even on Sea Rescue Ramp.  Good fishing when you can get out to the three seaside towns you've mentioned.  If bringing wife/kids? Jurien would be better more to do while you are fishing in peace he he he.

pm if you need phone/web site for Leeman Caravan Park

The bottom bouncing there is good all year round, you just have to get the weather right. I would strongly suggest you give yourself at least a five to seven day "window" because the wind and swell there can quite easily keep you inside the bay for 3 or 4 days straight. Having said that, there are numerous lumps within the bay that hold lots of snapper, including some really large ones. That's where you want to anchor and berley.

As Roberta said, March onwards gives you more good weather days and it's also when the water temps are at the highest, which gives you the best chance to troll up macks and tuna along the back of the outer reefs. If you decide on Jurien, give us a PM and I can offer some more detailed information...

Looks like I will be up at Jurien now for Easter. Haven't booked yet but am planning to book this week, had to finalise numbers. Have also got the Marine Charts.

Are there any other FW members going up at the same time?
