Kalbarri Xmas 2014
Submitted by Grooveepants on Fri, 2015-01-02 18:16
Just got back from a week up at Kalbarri. Only went fishing two times and both times were pretty short due to the wind and a young passenger suffering from sea sickness. The bolt cutters (NW Blowies) were out in full force so didnt'do much bottom bouncing. Caught a number of fish but here are the best two.
Was stoked to get my first Wahoo. Both caught on small Rapala XRAPS

I just got back today and we did pretty good when it wasnt so windy. Im going to post some photos soon. Saw some photos yesterday of a huge sailfish a couple of older blokes caught only a few kms off Red Bluff. What a catch!

When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:
n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or
n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.
