Keep River Report With Pictures
Have many People been out to the Keep River for a Look/Fish???
Well we have just got back into Kununurra after 6 days out there, nice spot for Barra Fishing and Bloody HUGE Crocs..
Never seen so many Barra active in the water.
Anyhow below is a couple of Pics of our time out there..
Hooked this little bugger (Approx 6 to 7 footer) after it snapped at my lure I was casting. Bastard got my best Barra Lure...
Barra, Barra, Really enjoy catching a Barra no matter what the size.
Nice Little Fresh Water hole and not a bad camp spot. We camped a lot further up toward the mouth of the Keep but did enjoy this spot on one of our look around drives.
A couple Barra that we kept for a good feed with oven baked Chips.. Yummo
Just a couple hundred Pelicans following the Tide in and feasting on the thousands of Poddy Mullet.
We were camped about 40kms from the River mouth.
I would definitely recommend a trip to the Keep River for a Look/Fish and if anyone is thinking of going for a gander one day give me a bell as I got GPS spots for good camp spots etc..
I've spent half my life fishing.. The other half I have wasted..
