Keeping mosquitos out from your swag

Just recently got an AOS bushmans apex swag but I keep getting slaughtered by mozzies, how do you keep them out of an apex style swag?

Before we go miggie proof

Before we go miggie proof swags we used to run a large mozzie net. Hook it up to a tree or roof rack etc when tuck it under the swag. Wont stop miggies or sand fly so no good for up the creeks.

Single dome

By a single mozzie dome. Free standing with elasticised poles, no see um mesh, solid floor. Keeps out everything including joe blakes, but lets in the breeze on warm nights.

Mine has nets included

I have an OzTrail Wentworth. I has the insect screen included as well as insect proof window. On warm nights I sleep with the flap open and just the insect screen zipped.

Thats all good advice

also you could use herbs not the expensive gear...mozzies hate the smell of lavender ,so you could wash with the soap or a few drops of oil around swag...warning though you may also attract unwanted attention from lonely fishos...otherwise wrap yourself in gladwrap and wear a balaclava...good luck

Cant see a lavender bush holding back hordes of wet season mozzies. Not that I would be game to try either.

In retrospect I think an apex

In retrospect I think an apex style didn't really suit my needs for a swag, I just liked how simple it was and if you know me you know  I will lose anything that can be lost. Might have to just cart a net around with me.

excuse my ignorance Ken Dog, but what is a thermocell?

Sorry about the spelling,

Work really well, a couple will do a 6 metre boat.
