Kids want to go fishing

Gday all. We are in Perth for a couple of weeks and my 5 & 6 year olds keep wanting me to take them fishing EVERY time we drive passed the Swan or a beach. I took them the other day and they were rapped when they kept catching blowies and watching them blow up. Any suggestions where I can take them to get herring or skippy or whiting or anything NOT blowie related? They like taking their catch home with them and were devastated and the tears flowed when I said we cant take blowies home! I await your response. Cheers!

Floret or trigg

An hour or so either side of sunset at Floreat or City beach is nice with the weather getting a bit warmer but no sea breeze, misses and kids can have fish and chips on a blanket and you will only need a smallish rod with a whitebait gang and sinker to get a few herring or tailor

We took my mates little girl fishing to hillarys where the charter boats pullp and she has such a ball that she took the photos to school fr show and tell and now wont stop pestering my mate to take her again. Plenty of small yellowtail, blowies and stuff to keep them happy as! You may even get a nice skippy or whiting. Great little spot for the kiddies
