lake joondalup

hey guys I have just been told today that there are fish in lake Joondalup does anyone know if this is true and if so what species and are you aloud to fish there I always thought that only turtles and tadpoles lived in there .I live near there in Woodvale and its only a 20 in bike ride so it would be great if I could go fishing there while the oceans a bit ruff to go out on any info would be great thanks.

Not sure but I doubt there are fish in there as it is usually dry following summer. Maybe Koi from time to time as people need to get rid of them for whatever reason?

About the only fish you will find swimming in there will be mullet---blind ones at that

There's some tales about big
There's some tales about big carp in some lakes like that, but I can't remember Lake Joondalup being one of them
You would be surprised though about lakes holding Carp, Perches, Marron, Yabbies.
Only way to really find out is to look like a loon and give it a try, though i'm not sure how councils feel about it.

Doubt it very much...nearly completely dries out and becomes a stinking muddy slop apart from some spots at the northern end of the lake.
