have you got 4wd
if so i would recommend exploring the peron peninsula look on a map and you can see the enough spots to keep you busy. there are heaps of small whiting around shark bay which make excellent baits for the species your chasing

I would think you would have
I would think you would have a better chance at night time but I'm not sure where the water is deep enough from the shore? Actually I do remember many years ago we went just North of Nanga. I think it you get to the beach at the North end of the run way near there (ask around when you get up there) but I think we were in a 4x4. We caught some big Tailor there that arvo/evening. You migh tbe lucky and get some Pinkies or Mulloway?
I also remember people catching Sharks (and maybe Pinkies?) at Nanga at night. I think they were fishing in front of the artificial reef at Nanga. From memory it's about 50/100m south of where you launch your boat there.
If all else fails, you should be able to get yourself a nice feed of flathead and or whiting. You can get them at any time of the day. It can be good fun chasing the little sharks that come in close too (I think you will find them on the tide changes). You can normally see them so it's just a matter of being ready and chasing them around with a decent bit of bait and a big enough rig etc. Good Luck.
I fish for the future - Cause I can't bloody catch anything!
