Last days of the Ban - Great fun

Me and Scano took my young bloke and a few of his mates for a jig, KG fish and pull the cray pots. Perfect day on the water.
Scano hooked up on his beach rod.......
Many hooked, not many landed. One for the skipper.
After the boys all got some serious railings by some XOS models, we headed for a KG fish. Got a dozen of these in quick time, several well over 50 cm.
Finished with 15 crays in the pots on way home.

Can't think of a better way
To spend the day, some good workouts with the sambos, a feed of some of the oceans finest offerings, hay, it just can't get any better than this.

So that beach rod
As John seems to call it is a 64 combi jerk. That and the saltiga s-extreme has slayed the fish for years. Pe4 braid and 100lb leader, and you reckon I had any chance at all of stopping that sambo? Dreaming!!
awesome fun though, and we had fun with some younger crew on board. Good to see the young blokes get into some fish themselves, but don't worry the old bulls held their own!
a great morning / day with good company, and some cracking whiting. I could think of a lot worse ways to spend a hot 40 degree day.
